Israel and the Nuclear Suppliers Group Continue Dialogue on Nuclear Exports Control
On March 15, 2005 Troika representatives of the
Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) visited Israel and
held discussions on issues of nuclear export controls.
The visit took place after the adoption of the Export
and Import Control Order pertaining to nuclear,
chemical and biological items (

to the MOITAL website) that incorporated the
NSG control lists. The purpose of the visit was
to explore ways to strengthen the ongoing dialogue
between Israel and the NSG regime.
The delegation was headed by the NSG chairman, Mr.
Richard Ekwall, and included representatives of
Sweden, Norway and the Republic of Korea.
The NSG representatives met with the Vice Prime
Minister and Minister of Trade, Industry and Labor,
MK Ehud Olmert. They also held discussions with
the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and the Israel Atomic Energy Commission.
