Statement by Israeli Ambassador to the IAEA, Mr. Israel Michaeli at the Board of Governors of the IAEA, On the Occasion of Re appointment of Mr. Mohamed El-Baradei for a third term as Director General of the IAEA (13/06/05)

We wish to join others in congratulating Mr. El-Baradei for his re-appointment as the Director General of the IAEA for the third term.

We wish to convey our Government's appreciation for his [Mr. El-Baradei] willingness and determination to take upon him the responsibility for the grave non-proliferation challenges in front of us. We are confident that Mr. El-Baradei will carry this burden and, with the support of Member States, will do his best to confront these challenges and win the struggle for a safer world.
