- Past and present Directors-General of the IAEC

When the IAEC was established in 1952,
it was headed by Prof. Ernst David Bergman, who held the position of IAEC Chairman
until 1966. From 1966, the Prime Minister of the State of Israel is the Chairman
of the IAEC. The Director-General is appointed by the Prime Minister.
Following is a list of the Directors-General of the IAEC since 1966:
- Prof. Israel Dostrovsky (1966 - 1971)
- Mr. Shalheveth Freier (1971 - 1976)
- Mr. Uzi Eilam (1976 - 1986)
- Mr. David Peleg (acting, 1986 - 1987)
- Dr. Yona Ettinger (1987 - 1992)
- Mr. Gideon Frank (1993 - 2007)
- Mr. Shaul Chorev (2007 - present)
